I piped a simple cornelli lace on the sides in pink icing to really make the pink stand out. I love how this cake turned out & so did the birthday girl!

Sweet Sixteen Cake #2
Back to regularly scheduled glittery pink sparkles with this cake! Here is another Sweet Sixteen cake (possibly my favorite kind to make!). The birthday girl requested pink velvet funfetti, vanilla buttercream, and lots of bling.

Baseball Cupcakes
Making cupcakes for boys is sometimes a challenge. They typically don't want their cupcakes covered in pink sprinkles or glitter, which are both things I love to use. Thankfully, most boys love sports, which gave me a great idea for these cupcakes:
These baseball cupcakes are vanilla cupcakes, topped with a nice round ball shaped mound of vanilla buttercream. I know it's kind of difficult to tell from the picture, but it really looked like a baseball! As far as boy cupcakes go, I think I hit it out of the park with these! :)

Bumpy Cupcakes
I can't believe I haven't blogged any bumpy cakes yet; they just might be my most popular cupcake!
These are the cupcakes that went with the Five-Oh flower cake. The bumpy cakes are a tender, moist chocolate cupcake, topped with "bumps" of buttery cream cheesy goodness, and dipped in a chocolate ganache. I topped each cupcake with a fondant flower for extra cuteness!

The Big Five-Oh
This stacked vanilla almond sour cream cake was for a very special birthday celebration. Simple fondant flowers were used to decorate the cake that was filled and iced in vanilla hazelnut buttercream. No "over the hill" theme, here!
Stay tuned for the matching bumpy cupcakes!

Dog Bone Cupcake Cake
A friend needed a last minute birthday cake for a two year old's puppy themed party. The first idea that came to mind was a cupcake cake. That's the fun thing about cupcake cakes: you can make them into whatever shape you want!
This cupcake cake is made up of vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, and is topped with a milkbone hue vanilla buttercream. I was told the two year old loved her birthday cake!

Sweet Sixteen Cake
I love making cakes for teenaged girls, thanks to my never ending supply of pink sprinkles & glitter. This particular birthday girl asked for an order of my cake truffles for her birthday last year, so naturally those were used as a way to decorate her cake also!
The basic yellow cake was iced with vanilla buttercream and white fondant. Piping was done with the buttercream, and cake truffles adorned the top for an extra treat.

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes
Baked right into an ice cream cone, these strawberry cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting are the perfect summer treat!
To make: put ice cream cones in a muffin tin and fill with your favorite cupcake batter. Bake for 25 minutes, let cool, and frost!
